Field Trip to the DuSable Black History Museum & Education Center

June 19 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

If you’re in Evanston or Chicagoland this Summer, please join the Office of Student Life for a field trip in recognition of Juneteenth to The DuSable: Black History Museum & Education Center at 740 East 56th Place, Chicago, Illinois 60637. Admission is free to all on Wednesdays, including Juneteenth. Please check out a list of events happening at the DuSable on Juneteenth: https://www.dusablemuseum.org/event/

 

Garrett students, faculty, staff, and family members are welcome to join. This field trip is BYOL (Bring/Buy your own lunch). Food trucks will be available on site. There is limited free parking on site. UChicago parking for $8 is also available across the street. The Office of Student Life will provide parking reimbursement for carpools. We will leave campus at 10 am. In order to coordinate carpools, RSVP is requested by Monday, June 17.
