This Giving Day, we can empower the next generation of faith leaders and spread hope. Every gift counts toward our 300 donor goal!
New in 2024
This Giving Day gifts made to any existing fund at the seminary will be matched, up to $100,000. All matching dollars will be made to the unrestricted Annual Fund. For example, if you give $100 to a named scholarship or center on Giving Day, our matching donor will give $100 to the Annual Fund, bringing your total impact for the seminary to $200.
Socks! We know you love them! This Giving Day when you make a one-time gift of $171 or more, or if you elect to make a monthly gift of $14.25 or more for 12 months or more, you will receive a pair of limited edition seminary socks. That’s $171 or more for the seminary’s 171 years of service to the church and the world.
Giving Day is a 24-hour giving event when students, faculty, staff, alums, and friends come together to support courageous leaders through gifts to high priority areas of the seminary. This year’s Giving Day will take place on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (CDT).
There are three ways to make your gift:
Give online on our Giving Day website, which will be available from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (CDT) on March 12. Give now at Garrett.edu/GivingDay.
Give over the phone by calling 847.866.3890 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CDT) on March 12.

On this Giving Day you can support a variety of high priority areas of the seminary. All gifts will be matched, up to $100,000, to the seminary’s Annual Fund. Choose one or split your gift:
Each of these areas are vital to sustaining our students and faculty, as well as resourcing the church and society at large.

For example, if you give $500 to a particular scholarship fund, center or institute, or the Annual Fund on Giving Day, our matching donor will give $500 to the Annual Fund, bringing your total impact for the seminary to $1,000.
You are welcome to give to your scholarship on Giving Day. You may do so online, by sending a check, or by calling 847.866.3890. Please keep in mind that gifts to scholarships will be matched with a gift of the same size to the Annual Fund.

In addition to the vast number of alums and friends who make a gift on Giving Day, we need your help in getting the word out to people who love Garrett-Evangelical (or love someone who loves Garrett-Evangelical). You can help us “spread hope” to your classmates, friends, family, and neighbors by using any or all of the following resources below.
Please contact/post to your network the morning of Giving Day, Tuesday, March 11. People are most likely to check their social media in the morning. If you can’t in the morning, that’s totally ok, do so whenever works best for you. The key thing is this—we are attempting to get as many people as possible to give on Giving Day 2024.
