An Informed Love for the Details
The important thing to me as a teacher is to cultivate in my students an informed love for the details of the Hebrew Bible and of biblical studies, and for active communicative facility with biblical languages. At Garrett-Evangelical, we often say that we seek to produce "bold leaders." I am confident that an "informed love" casts out fear and makes possible a life of fearless research and smart engagement with the Hebrew and Greek biblical texts. As a "digital pedagogue," I seek to help students and faculty alike to increase their digital literacy in every aspect of their professional lives: as teachers and learners, as scholars, as lay or ordained ministers, as people in the world.
