Eco-Justice Visit Day
April 23, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
At Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, we believe that the thriving of the church and the healing of the world cannot be accomplished without deep commitments to the work of ecological justice. This is why we are inviting prospective students to our Evanston campus for an “Eco-Justice Visit Day!” This is your opportunity to interact with Garrett faculty, staff, and students as you learn about the various ways Garrett integrates ecological theology and justice work into our curriculum and community life.
As part of our programming for the launch of Garrett’s new Center for Ecological Regeneration, you will also get to hear from some innovative ministry leaders engaging themes of ecology, theology, and the Church.
Garrett’s “Eco-Justice Visit Day” will include the following opportunities:
- Hear from Victoria Loorz, Center for Wild Spirituality Workshop, and Claire Bjork, Earth Partnership, Botany Bouquet and Story of Place.
- Engage with G-ETS faculty leaders in the areas of ecological justice and eco-theology, such as the Dr. Timothy Eberhart, Director for the Center for Ecological Regeneration.
- Participate in an Interfaith Wild Spirit Gathering.
- Receive a tour of Garrett Evanston campus.
- Learn the ins and outs of the Garrett admissions process.
All are welcome to attend and we hope you take full advantage of what promises to be an enlightening and inspirational experience. Visit the event webpage to learn more about the launch of the Center for Ecological Regeneration.
